Abstract Fleksografska tehnika tiska tehnologija je koja na tržištu konstantno raste. Uz brzi razvoj i modernizaciju, povećavaju se i zahtjevi za kvalitetnijom reprodukcijom. Sukladno tome, istraživanja u ovome radu usmjerena su na kvalitativno proučavanje grafičkih proizvoda. Opisivanje grafičke reprodukcije temeljeno je na mjernim i vizualnim analizama kvalitete reprodukcije. Prilikom objektivnog analiziranja kvalitete reprodukcije ispitivano je nekoliko kvalitativnih parametara, kojima su pojedini kvalitativni parametri podijeljeni na podskupine. Odabir uzoraka definiran je s obzirom na moderne načine etiketiranja. Ispitivani uzorci tiskani su u realnoj proizvodnji, na dvije neupojne podloge. Korištena su bojila na bazi otapala i ekološki prihvatljiva bojila, koja se suše UV energijom.
Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su nužnost upotrebe više kvalitativnih parametara za definiranje kvalitete reprodukcije. Uzorci dobiveni s ekološki prihvatljivijim bojilima sadrže prihvatljivije vrijednosti kvalitativnih parametara u usporedbi s reprodukcijama dobivenih s bojilima na bazi otapala. Veličine prirasta rastertonskih vrijednosti kod reprodukcija s ekološki prihvatljivijim bojilima sadrže veliko odstupanje u usporedbi s preporukama ISO standarda, dok reprodukcije s bojilima na bazi otapala imaju slične veličine (iz čega se zaključuje da je potrebna nadopuna važećih ISO standarda s obzirom na modernija tiskarska bojila). Istraživanjem se definiralo koji kvalitativni parametri uvjetuju bolju procjenu vizualne ukupne kvalitete reprodukcije te reprodukciju imitacije zlatne boje. Predložene su nove vrijednosti potrebne ukupne količine bojila na tiskovnoj podlozi i te vrijednosti kontrolnog stripa za definiranje sivog balansa. Definirana je metoda za najtočnije određivanje parametara prihvaćanje bojila na bojilo kod fleksografskog tiska.
Povezivanjem rezultata objektivnih (mjernih i vizualnih) analiza omogućit će se definiranje kriterija kvalitete reprodukcije s kojim će se na osnovu znanstvenih istraživanja dati prijedlog kako i na koji način, te s kojim novim kriterijima je moguće postići veću kvalitetu reprodukcije.
Abstract (english) Flexographic printing technique is a technology that has been steadily growing its presence in
the current market. Rapid development and modernization have led to an increased demand
for higher quality reproduction. Consequently, the research presented in this paper focuses on
the examination of graphic products’ quality. Descriptions of graphic reproductions were
formulated on the basis of objective (measurable and visual) analysis of reproduction quality.
Additionally, several qualitative parameters were examined in the process of objective
analysis of reproduction quality, whereby some of these qualitative parameters were divided
into subgroups. The selection of samples was defined in line with the modern methods for
labeling. Examined samples were printed in real production on two non-absorbent substrates.
The process involved the use of solvent-based inks and environmentally friendly inks also
known as UV curable inks.
The results of research indicated the necessity to use an increased number of qualitative
parameters for describing the quality of reproductions. Samples obtained by way of applying
environmentally friendly inks have a more adequate value of qualitative parameters compared
to reproductions obtained with the use of solvent-based inks. There is a significant
discrepancy between the size of dot gain in reproductions made by environmentally friendly
inks and the recommended dot gain set forth in the ISO standards. On the other hand, the
reproductions made with solvent-based inks are of a similar size. According to that, a
conclusion has been drawn that the ISO standards, which are currently in force, have to be
supplemented by way of considering the existence of contemporary inks.
The research established which qualitative parameters are used as the criterion for defining a
better assessment of the overall visual quality of a reproduction as well as the reproduction of
a gold color imitation. Recommendations were made on new values for the total area
coverage on a substrate and on control stripe values for defining gray balance. A method for
the most accurate assessment of trapping in flexographic printing technique has been defined
as well.
Interlinking the results of objective analysis (measurable and visual) will render possible the
definition of the criterion for reproduction quality. The criterion for reproduction quality
represents a proposal for defining and predicting the overall quality of reproductions. Based
on a logistic regression analysis, the criterion for reproduction quality has been created as a probability function affected by the selection of qualitative parameters when the reproduction
is rated as a high quality reproduction.
