Abstract
Muramildipeptid je produkt koji nastaje enzimskom razgradnjom peptidoglikana, sastavnog dijela stanične stijenke Gram-pozitivnih i Gram-negativnih bakterija. Kemijski gledano, oni su konjugati muraminske i prirodnih aminokiselina, koji imaju ulogu imunoadjuvanata. Posjeduju veliki potencijal te se koriste u terapeutske svrhe kao imunostimulatorni spojevi. U ovom radu opisani su sinteza i konformacijska svojstva ferocenskog muropeptida 5 koji nastaje kopulacijom C- terminusa muraminske kiseline 4 i N- terminusa ferocenske aminokiseline 3. Na temelju rezultata NMR- i IR-spektroskopije predloženi su najstabilniji konformeri.
Abstract (english)
Muropeptides are degradation fragments of Gram(+) and Gram(-) peptidoglycan (PGN), produced by enzymatic degradation of bacterial cell wall. From chemical point of view, muropeptides are conjugates of muramic and natural amino acids with adjuvant properties. They have great potential acting as therapeutic agents with immunostimulating activity. This study has explored the synthesis and structural characteristics of ferrocene muropeptide 5 derived by coupling of C- terminus of muramic acid 4 and N- terminus of ferrocene amino acid 3. Based on NMR- and IR-spectroscopy the preferable conformations were proposed.
