Abstract
Cilj rada bio je proučiti alelopatski potencijal lavandina (Lavandula x intermedia) na klijavost i rast klijanaca salate. U laboratorijskom pokusu u Petrijevim zdjelicama testirani su vodeni ekstrakti od suhe mase cvijeta lavandina u koncentracijama od 2, 4, 6, 8, i 10%. Klijavost sjemena salate značajno je smanjena već pri najnižoj koncentraciji za 69,9%, dok su više koncentracije pokazale 100% inhibitorno djelovanje. Isto tako, duljina korijena je pri najnižoj koncentraciji smanjena za 86,8%, dok su više koncentracije potpuno inhibirale rast korijena. Negativno djelovanje zabilježeno je na duljinu izdanka, te na svježu i suhu masu klijanaca te su svi tretmani pokazali 100% inhibitorno djelovanje.
Abstract (english)
The aim of the study was to assess the allelopathic potential of lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia) on germination and growth of lettuce. In a laboratory experiment using Petri dishes, water extracts from lavender dry flowers in concentrations of 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10% were examined. Germination of lettuce seeds was significantly reduced at the lowest concentration by 69.9%, while higher concentrations showed 100% inhibitory effect. Also, the root length was reduced by 86.8% at the lowest concentration, while higher concentrations completely inhibited root growth. Negative effect was observed on the length, and the fresh and dry weight of seedlings, and all the treatments showed a 100% inhibitory effect.
