Abstract
Mozak većinu informacija usvaja preko vizualnog kanala. Usprkos tome, metode poučavanja matematike često zanemaruju tu činjenicu te prednost daju algebarskim metodama nad grafičkim. Ovaj rad proučava primjenu grafičkih metoda u rješavanju problema iz raznih područja matematike kroz osnovnoškolsko i srednjoškolsko obrazovanje. Kroz spektar tema od prvog razreda do državne mature uspoređuje se efikasnost i metodička korisnost grafičke metode s obzirom na druge metode te se razmatraju nove primjene i mogućnosti. Cilj rada je nastavnicima dati uvid u razne primjene grafičkih metoda te ih potaknuti na njihovo korištenje tokom poučavanja i planiranja aktivnosti kako bi se odmakli od standardnih načina rješavanja zadataka.
Abstract (english)
The brain receives most of the information through the visual channel. Nonetheless, the methods of teaching mathematics often ignore this fact and give advantage to algebraic methods over graphical ones. This paper looks into the application of graphical methods in solving problems from different areas of mathematics through elementary and high school education. Through the spectrum of topics from the first grade to the high school diploma, it compares the efficiency and methodical benefit of graphical methods with other methods and considers new applications and opportunities. The aim is to give teachers the insight into the various applications of graphical methods so that they can use them during teaching and planning activities in order to move away from standard task solving methods.
