Abstract
Arsen je metaloid koji je prirodno prisutan u vodi, tlu i zraku. Njegova toksičnost poznata je desetljećima, a u novije vrijeme dokazana je i kancerogenost arsena konzumacijom vode za piće u kojoj je ovaj spoj prisutan u visokim koncentracijama. Iz tog razloga se pojavljuje sve veći interes za istraživanjem metoda uklanjanja, odnosno smanjenja koncentracije arsena u vodi, što rezultira poboljšanjem postojećih i uvođenjem novih tehnologija u preradi vode za piće. U ovom radu je opisan arsen kao kemijski element te oblici u kojima se pojavljuje. Opisana je toksičnost i promjene koje arsen uzrokuje u organizmu. Prikazane su i objašnjene metode određivanja arsena te metode uklanjanja arsena iz voda koje se koriste u vodoopskrbi.
Abstract (english)
Arsenic is a matalloid that can be found in the air, ground and water. The toxicity has been known for a decades, and reacently his carcinogenicity has also been proven in the consumation of drinking water is present in vigorous concentrations. For this reason, here is an increasing interest in exploring the methods of reducing the concentrations of arsenic in water resulting in the improvement of the existing ones and the introduction of new technologies in drinkingwater processing. In this paper, arsenic is described as a chemical element and the forms in which it appears. The toxicity and changes arsenic causes in the body is described. The arsenic determination methods and methods of removing arsenic from water used in water supply are explained.
