Abstract
Industrijalizacija i demografska ekspanzija dovele su do povećanja svjetske potražnje za energijom i zato je potrebno posegnuti za obnovljivim izvorima energije u koje spadaju biogoriva, pa i biodizel. Biodizel je obnovljivo i biorazgradivo gorivo koje se može proizvesti iz biljnih ulja, životinjskih masti i otpadnih jestivih/nejestivih ulja. U okviru ovoga rada sinteza biodizela provedena je u kotlastom reaktoru transesterifikacijom otpadnog suncokretovog ulja, zaostalog nakon prženja krumpira, katalizirana slobodnom lipazom iz Thermomyces lanuginosus (Lipolase 100L) uz dodatak metanola. Jednostupanjska i četverostupanjska reakcija transesterfikacije provedene su na temperaturi 40, 50 i 60 °C. Najviši udio metilnih estera viših masnih kiselina (95 %) dobiven je jednostupanjskom transesterifikacijom u reakciji provedenoj na 40 °C.
Abstract (english)
Industrialization and demographic expansion have led to an increase in world demand for energy and therefore for renewable energy sources that include biofuels and biodiesel. Biodiesel is a renewable and biodegradable fuel that can be produced from vegetable oils, animal fats and waste edible oils. In this respect, the aim of this thesis was synthesis of biodiesel in a fed-batch reactor by transesterification of sunflower oil catalysed by free lipase from Thermomyces lanuginosus (Lipolase 100L) with the addition of methanol. One-step and four-step transesterification reaction of waste frying oil were carried out in a batch reactor at three different temperatures, 40, 50 and 60 °C. The highest fatty acids methyl esters content (95%) was achieved in the one-step transesterification reaction of edible sunflower oil performed at 40 °C.
