Abstract
U ovom radu prezentirat će se najnoviji trendovi u proizvodnji, potrošnji i vanjskotrgovinskoj razmjeni (uvozu i izvozu) vina te uloga vinarstva u hrvatskom gospodarstvu s posebnim naglaskom na razvoj vinskog turizma u ruralnim prostorima. Podaci će obuhvatiti statistiku unazad nekoliko godina radi prikaza trendova, ali i najnovije statističke podatke iz prvog kvartala 2020. godine kako bi se mogao procijeniti utjecaj pandemije koronavirusa na proizvodnju i tržište vina. Opisat će se četiri hrvatske vinske regije te uloga Zakona o vinu u poticanju udruživanja vinara u regionalne organizacije sa svrhom brendiranja pojedinih sorti vina i poboljšanju vinskog marketinga. Pandemija bolesti COVID-19 značajno je utjecala na tržište vina, posebice na pad prodaje vina zbog izostanka turizma, blokade prodajnih kanala u ugostiteljstvu (HoReCa kanala) te posljedično i smanjenja izvoza. Pad prodaje vina doveo je do povećanja zaliha, odnosno viškova vina na skladištima, zbog čega su zemlje članice EU, s obzirom na svoje specifičnosti, putem nacionalnih programa osigurale sredstva za pomoć vinarskom sektoru.
Abstract (english)
This paper will present the latest trends in the production, consumption and foreign trade exchange (import and export) of wine, as well as the role of winemaking in the Croatian economy, with special emphasis on the development of wine tourism in rural areas. The data will include statistics from several years ago to show trends, but also the latest statistical data from the first quarter of 2020 in order to assess the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on wine production and the wine market. The four Croatian wine regions will be described, as well as the role of the Wine Law in encouraging the association of winemakers in regional organizations with the purpose of branding certain varieties of wine and improving wine marketing. The coronavirus pandemic had a significant impact on the wine market, especially on the decline in wine sales due to the absence of tourism, the blockage of sales channels in the HoReCa industry and, consequently, the decrease in exports. The decline in wine sales led to an increase in stocks, i.e. surplus wine in warehouses, which is why the EU member states, considering their specificities, provided funds to help the wine sector through national programs.
