Abstract
Primjena eutektičkih otapala u kemijskim sintezama predstavlja prihvatljivu alternativu najčešće korištenim organskim otapalima koja mogu biti štetna po zdravlje i okoliš. Ovom radu cilj je ispitati i dokazati mogućnost korištenja takvih dvokomponentnih otapala u sintezi Schiffovih baza. Schiffove baze su spojevi koji nastaju kondenzacijom aldehida ili ketona i primarnih amina. Takvi se spojevi smatraju podgrupom imina i predmet su brojnih istraživanja jer pokazuju potencijalna antimikrobna, antiviralna i antikancerogena svojstva. Prvi dio rada obuhvaća optimizaciju modelne reakcije u 20 eutektičkih otapala na bazi kolin-klorida, nakon čega slijedi sinteza 20 Schiffovih baza s kinazolinonskom jezgrom pri optimalnim uvjetima.
Abstract (english)
The use of deep eutectic solvents in chemical syntheses is an acceptable alternative to the most commonly used organic solvents that can be harmful to human health and environment. The aim of this research was to investigate and prove the possibility of using such two - component solvents in the synthesis of Schiff bases. Schiff bases are compounds formed by the condensation of aldehydes or ketones and primary amines. Such compounds are considered a subgroup of imines and are the subject of many research because they show potential antimicrobial, antiviral and anticancer properties. The first part of the paper includes the optimization of the model reaction in 20 choline chloride based eutectic solvents, followed by the synthesis of 20 Schiff bases with quinazolinone nucleus under optimal conditions.
