Abstract
Svrha ovog završnog rada je na jednostavan način objasniti i približiti pojam mikroplastike. Mikroplastika je nešto što nas okružuje u svakodnevnom životu obzirom da koristimo velike količine plastičnih proizvoda. Međutim, može se pronaći i u hrani. Značajniji polimeri otkriveni u hrani su poli(metil metakrilat), polipropilen, polistiren, polietilen, polietilen tereftalat. Rad ukratko objašnjava proizvodnju, neke karakteristike i uporabu spomenutih polimera te mogućnost njihovog dolaska u hranu. Trenutno postoji jako mali broj istraživanja i informacija o tome utječe li konzumacija takve hrane negativno na ljudsko zdravlje.
Abstract (english)
The purpose of this final paper is to simply explain and approximate the notion of microplastics. Microplastics is something that surrounds us in everyday life since we use a large quantity of plastic products. However, it can also be found in food. Significant polymers detected in food are poly(methyl methacrylate), polypropylene, polystyrene, polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate. The paper briefly explains the production, some characteristics and use of the mentioned polymers, and the possibility of their transfer to food. There are currently few researches and small amount of information on whether the consumption of such food negatively affects human health.
