Abstract
Ovaj završni rad opisuje bazu podataka Reactome te prikazuje mogućnosti i načine njena pretraživanja. Reactome je baza podataka s informacijama o biokemijskim putevima i molekularnim interakcijama, nastala s ciljem da znanstvenicima i studentima lakše objasni puteve bioloških procesa. Kako bi se potencijalne korisnike upoznalo i zainteresiralo za bazu podatak Reactome, u prvom dijelu završnog rada navode se ključne karakteristike ove baze, potom se detaljno prikazuje mogućnost pretraživanja baze prema pojmu glikoliza, a u trećem dijelu navode njene prednosti i nedostaci, te mogućnosti njene primjene.
Abstract (english)
This thesis describes the Reactome database and demonstrates its search capabilities and methods. Reactome is a database containing information about biochemical pathways and molecular interactions, created to help scientists and students better understand the pathways of biological processes. To familiarize and engage potential users with the Reactome database, the first part of the thesis outlines the key features of the database. Then, it provides a detailed demonstration of how to search the database using the term glycolysis, and the third part discusses its advantages, disadvantages, and potential applications.
