Abstract
Generalni cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati uključenost djece vrtićke dobi u sport. Specifični ciljevi bili su osmišljavanje upitnika te provjera učestalosti bavljenja sportom kod djece, provjera stavova roditelja o sportu te mogući ograničavajući faktori zbog kojih djeca ne pohađaju sport. Upitnik sadrži sedam pitanja otvorenog i zatvorenog tipa koja se odnose na dječje bavljenje sportom i roditeljsko mišljenje o sportu. Upitnik su ispunjavali roditelji 52-je djece od treće do sedme godine. Rezultati su pokazali da se više od pola djece bavi sportom te da se veliki dio djece koja se sportom ne bave, prema izjavama roditelja, nije zainteresirano za sport. Nezainteresiranost djece može proizlazi iz nezainteresiranosti roditelja, iako ih većina smatra sport zdravim načinom života, veliki dio djece nije uključeno u sport. Roditelje treba bolje uputiti u to na koji način sport doprinosi boljem zdravlju i kvaliteti života djeteta te time pobuditi njihov interes za sport kako bi i oni mogli potaknuti svoju djecu na uključivanje u sport. Uključivanje djece u sport pozitivno utječe na njihov fizički i psihički razvoj. Sport djeci omogućava osjećaj pripadnosti grupi, upoznavanje nove djece, uči ih osnovnim odgojnim i higijenskim normama te ih potiče na zdrav način života. Roditelji imaju veliku ulogu pri dječjem uključivanju u sport i prilikom iznošenja svojih stavova o sportu pred djecom. Odgajatelji su ti koji kod roditelja mogu pobuditi interes za sport ukoliko su educirani o sportu i djetetovoj prirodnoj potrebi za kretanjem, tjelesnim vježbanjem pa na koncu i samim sportom. Prilikom upisa djeteta u određeni sport preporučljivo je educirati se kod liječnika i trenera o djetetovim mogućnostima te zahtjevnosti sporta kojim se dijete želi baviti.
Abstract (english)
Involving children in sports can positively affect their physical and mental development. Sport allows children to develop a sense of belonging to a group, to meet new children, to learn basic educational and hygienic norms and encourages them to a healthy lifestyle. Parents have a major role in children's inclusion in sports when they are sharing their attitudes about sports in front of children. Well-educated preschool teachers can raise interest in parents about sports and the child's natural need for movement, physical exercise and finally the sport itself. When entering a certain sport, it is advisable to educate yourself with the doctor and trainer about the child's possibilities and the demand of the sport that the child wants to do. The general objective of this study was to examine the involvement of preschool children in sports. The specific objective was questionnaire which interrogates the frequency of children's sports activities, parent's attitudes about sport and possible limiting factors for children who are not attending sports. The questionnaire contains eight issues of open and closed type related to children's sports and parental opinion on sport. The questionnaire was filled by 52 parents of children from the third to the seventh year. The results showed that more than half of the children are engaged in sports and that a large amount of children who are not engaged in sports, according to parents, are not interested in sports. Parents should be better informed about sport contribution to the better health and quality of children's life, thereby stimulating their interest in sports so that they can encourage their children to engage in sports.
