Seksualno zlostavljanje ugrožava djetetov fizički i psihički razvoj.
Abstract (english) Sexual abuse of a child involves engaging a child in acts of sexual content that he or she does not fully understand and for which he or she cannot give informed consent or is not developmentally ready for it. Sexual abuse threatens a child's physical and mental development. The most common manifestations of a sexually abused child are behaviors with sexual preoccupation, poorer social inclusion, PTSD symptoms, impulsive reactions and decreased cognitive performance.
The aim of this study was to determine whether children who experienced fornication differed from children who experienced sexual intercourse in personality traits (domination, aggression, extraversion, and ambition) and in intelligence.
The study involved 50 subjects, out of whom 43 girls and 7 boys.
The sample included 31 acts of fornication and 19 acts of sexual intercourse. Most sexual abuse (fornication and sexual intercourse) took place in the home of the victim and/ or home of the perpetrator, and subsequently in vehicles and schools.
The average duration of sexual abuse in the whole sample was seven months, while the average time from first abuse to the time of forensic evaluation was twenty-four months.
Data were collected from the documentation of a forensic expert in psychology. The respondents were divided into groups according to the type of sexual abuse they were exposed to (sexual intercourse / fornication).
Children experiencing forced sexual intercourse displayed the same level of aggression as children experiencing fornication.
There was also no difference between two groups in ambition, extraversion and domination. Also, no difference was found in the intellectual efficacy of children who were fornicated compared to those who had forced sexual intercourse
