Abstract Svrha ovog rada je prikazati i objasniti utjecaj intrapersonalne komunikacije na emocije
studenata Sveučilišta Sjever. Komunikacija je proces razmjene informacija preko dogovorenog
sistema znakova, odnosno proces slanja informacija sebi ili bilo kojem drugom entitetu,
najčešće putem jezika. U ovom radu fokus je na intrapersonalnoj komunikaciji kod koje osoba
komunicira sama sa sobom. Intrapersonalno komuniciranje događa se u čovjekovoj nutrini kao
proces u mozgu. Za razliku od intrapersonalne, interpersonalne komunikacija uključuje
minimalno dva sudionika, govornika i sugovornika, odvija se putem nekog određenog
komunikacijskog kanala, ima svoj cilj te povratnu informaciju sugovornika.
Teorijski dio ovog rada govori o emocijama i njihovoj povezanosti sa intrapersonalnom
komunikacijom. Budući da se emocije ne događaju slučajno već ih osoba sama proizvodi
svojim razmišljanjem – može se reći da je njihova važnost vrlo velika. Iz tog je razloga bitno
istražiti emocionalne vještine ispitanika, u ovom slučaju studenata Sveučilišta Sjever te
kontrolu i regulaciju emocionalnih reakcija.
Osnovni cilj istraživanja ovog diplomskog rada je raspoznati razinu emocionalne regulacije i
kontrole te emocionalnih vještina i kompetentnosti studenata Sveučilišta Sjever i ispitati postoji
li razlika u emocionalnoj kompetentnosti i vještinama te emocionalnoj regulaciji i kontroli
studenata s obzirom na stupanj obrazovanja, studijski smjer, spol i dob. Na temelju dobivenih
rezultata istraživanja može se zaključiti kako većina studenata Sveučilišta Sjever dobro
razumije, izražava i upravlja svojim emocija te da njihove emocije i raspoloženja imaju veliki
utjecaj na njihovo mišljenje i pamćenje. Također, može se zaključiti kako se emocionalne
kompetentnosti i vještine te emocionalna regulacija i kontrola emocija ispitanika razlikuju s
obzirom na stupanj obrazovanja, studijski smjer, spol i dob.
Abstract (english) The purpose of this paper is to present and explain the impact of intrapersonal communication
on the emotions of the University North students. Communication is the process of
exchanging information through an agreed system of signs, i.e. the process of sending
information to oneself or any other entity, most often through language. In this paper, the
focus is put on intrapersonal communication where a person communicates with
himself/herself. Instrapersonal communication takes place within a person as a process in the
brain. As opposed to intrapersonal, interpersonal communication involves at least two
participants, a speaker and a listener; it takes place via specific communication channel, has
its own goal and there is a feedback from the listener. Theoretical part of this paper talks
about emotions and their connection to intrapersonal communication. Since emotions do not
occur by chance, but are a product of a personl own thought processes, it can be said that they
are highly important. For this reason, it is important to investigate emotional skills and control
and regulation of emotional reactions of our respondents - students of the University North.
The main goal of the thesis is to identify the level of emotional regulation and control and
emotional skillset and competencies of the University North students, and examine whether
there exists a difference in emotional competency and skills and emotional regulation and
control of students with regard to education, study, gender and age. Based on the results of the
research, it can be concluded that most students at the University North understand, express
and manage their emotions well and that their emotions and moods have a big impact on their
thoughts and memory. In addition, it can be concluded that emotional competencies and skills
and emotional regulation and control of respondents; emotions differ with regard to the level
of education, field of study, gender and age.
