The final paper shows the role of business communication in the company and how the success and productivity of the company are related to the quality of communication in the internal environment of the company. Communication is the process of sharing information, in a way that communication takes place between the sender and recipient of the message, and the focus is on the company. For communication to be successful, it is necessary to possess developed communication skills. Thus, the development of communication skills and interpersonal relationships in the company has become an integral part of the development of business communication. Effective communication includes the necessary knowledge of communicating with people, encouraging, and motivating employees. Business communication is divided into vertical and horizontal communication. Such a form of communication includes business correspondence, norms of behaviour with other participants in communication, dress code, body language and rules for conducting an adequate conversation in business situations. The final paper also explains the types of business communication, the principles of successful communication, barriers to communication and the methodology, results, and analysis of research results. For the research, an anonymous survey questionnaire was conducted and the literature of secondary sources was used. To conclude, business communication is the foundation of an efficient and profitable business of an individual company.
