On 8th December 2015, support for uploading dissertations as the new type of digital object has been implemented into the Digital Academic Archives and Repositories - the DABAR system. A detailed metadata description of dissertations has been developed as a result of a cooperation between the National and University Library in Zagreb and SRCE and it is available, in Croatian, at DABAR’s web site.
Three faculties at the University of Osijek, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty of Food Technology, as well as the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, University of Split, have been among the first institutions to have the new feature implemented in their repositories.
Since its live release, 56 repositories have been established within the DABAR system. The DABAR team held 6 educational workshops for repository administrators who uploaded more than 2400 undergraduate and master's theses.
