Abstract
Craft ili zanatsko pivo je ono pivo čiji način proizvodnje i karakteristike proizvoda odstupaju od normi industrijske proizvodnje piva bilo u vidu drugačijeg slada, kvasca, hmelja ili/i začina. Kao takvo, craft pivo nudi široku paletu različitih piva s raznim okusima i aromama. Craft pokret počeo je u SAD-u kao odgovor na rast lager industrijskih pivovara koje imaju tendenciju izgurati male nezavisne pivovare s tržišta. Slično se događa i u Europi i u Hrvatskoj te se craft pokret nastavlja i na tržištima ovih zemalja. Lijepa priča, dobra ambalaža i dobar marketing učinili su da se craft pokret od njegovih početaka na kraju dvadesetog stoljeća do danas toliko raširi da često marketinška priča nadvisi karakteristike i kvalitetu samog proizvoda. Koja je budućnost i koje su granice ovog pokreta teško je znati, ali se može previdjeti daljnji razvoj kroz dogledno vrijeme.
Abstract (english)
Craft is a beer whose method of production and product characteristics deviate from the norms of the industrial beer production, commonly in the form of utilization of different malt, yeast, hops and spices. As such, craft beer offers a wide range of different beers with different flavors and aromas. The craft movement began in the USA in response to the growth of industrial breweries that tend to push small independent breweries off the market. A similar thing is occurring in Europe and in Croatia, where the share craft beers continues the expand in the markets of these countries. A good story, good packaging and good marketing have made the craft movement, since its inception in the late twentieth century, to this day so widespread that often the marketing story exceeds the characteristics and quality of the product itself. What the future holds and what the boundaries of this movement are - it is difficult to know, but further development can be overlooked in the foreseeable future.
