It is well known that honey bees (Apis mellifera L.) are responsible for the majority of fruit and vegetable pollination on the Earth. Along with other pollinators, from which the most common are solitary bees (Osmia spp.) and bumblebees (Bombus spp.), they provide pollination to almost all flowering plants. A research was conducted within four apple varieties ('Granny Smith', 'Idared', 'Jonagold' and 'Elstar') in April 2017 on the Tonjac's family apple farm in Petrinja. During the three days of monitoring the pollinators activities (12th-14th April) there were 27 measurements that were carried out in total. The total number of identified pollinators was 1 484, most of which were honey bees with 776 recorded visits and solitary bees with 682 visits. From the other pollinators, there was an unsignificant number of bumble bees with 10 visits and butterflies (Lepidoptera) with 16 visits recorded. Observing the number of honey bee visits, it is clear that the peak was determined from 12 am to 1 pm, while for the solitary bees the peak was at 12 am. Considering the Idared variety, a higher number of honey bees was found in relation to solitary bees, the ratio was 307:177, while the ratio for the Granny Smith variety was the same (188:178). The varieties Jonagold and Elstar had a slightly lower representation number of solitary bees versus the honey bee representation (166:161).
