Art has always embodied the connection between humans and the natural environment. According to how this relationship changes, many artists begin to ask questions about the way people establish a connection with nature. Today there is a need for communication and openness to environmental issues and sustainable development. The intention of this dissertation is to provide basic information on how biomimetic principles are work identified and lead to technical applications in various engineering disciplines. Biomimetics is described as the transfer of information from biology to engineering. To some extent biomimetics as an interdisciplinary research subject can contribute to sustainable innovation. Therefore, the main goal of biomimetics is to provide a deeper understanding of solutions and strategies developed over time and their possible application in practice. In biomimetics we analyze (materials, processes and systems in nature), are then distilled by fundamental principles and later applied in science, technology or art. This doctoral dissertation has been based on information from the field of biomimetics, which has then been applied in the fine arts.
