The paper is focused on introducing the concept of the term meritocracy, that is a system whose actions are based on the reward od merit, and on the influence of the system on the economic environment. Both the social and the economic system create and shape societies, and meritocracy from social input seeks to create better output, which is approximately the same as the marketing process. This paper will try to establish relationship between meritocracy and marketing, but not the commercial one thah focuses on product, service and theirs market, but the one that operates at the level of a whole society - macromarketing. Although both concepts have been devised in the past century, the question is whether they have any connection in the form where the work on the macromarket field creates better conditions for meritocracy and vice versa. Connection will be sought through the influence of the meritocratic authority's connection to the parameters of the Country Brand Index. Furthermore, the paper will attempt to determine whether meritocratic and macromarketing influence is the same in practice, with the ultimate goal of creating a better society, and whether one can complement one another? Since the concept of meritocracy, as it was conceived by its creator, in nowadays uses as he predicted in the middle of the last century, to create even greater differences among people, through examples that in practice uses a form of meritocratic authority will try to prove whether these predictions have been confirmed today. On the basis of attached research it will try to answer the question whether the meritocracy will precede the social revolution or will be maintained in the longterm as a good model for creating a good and sustainable society.
