Today's world, characterized by a fast-growing economy and a growing population, has a constant need for money as a primary means of financing the growing needs of the population and the rest, leading to the expansion of banks, which has resulted in a growing and broader supply of loans and loans. loans. The impact of the expansion is most evident in the growing number of loan applications, especially those of a consumer character. Banks offer consumer credit cards in their consumer credit offers as well as consumer loans for the purchase of consumer goods. Given that banks approve consumer loans fora specific purpose, this type of loan is also known as special purpose loans. This is the reason why in banks consumer credit offer it can be found consumer loans solely for the purchase of motor vehicles or the financing of health services. Given the importance of consumer credit in today's world, this final paper deals with the offer of consumers credit through a comparative analysis of consumer credit supply in the three Croatian banks: Privredna banka Zagreb d.d., Croatia banka d.d. and Erste & Steirmarkische Bank d.d. The paper emphasizes the relationship between the observed banks and the total assets of the six largest banks in the Republic of Croatia. Fundamental characteristics of loans such as the purpose and the level of the loan in which the loan is granted, as well as the nominal and effective interest rate, loan repayment period and the loan repayment instruments are shown in the research part of the paper.
