Sažetak | Every country has its own reasons to join the international trade. Globalization permits countries to connect with each other in order to achieve economical gains and to be competitive on the world market. In these days, there is an increase in economic dependency of national economies throughout the world with a sudden increase of free movement of goods, services, technology and capital. Because of these changes, international trade is more and more frequent between companies and countries. In each international trade business, at least three parties are involved: the importer, the forwarder, and the exporter. Every party has its own responsibilities and activities which need to be done properly in order for the import job to be completed without any problems. This final paper explains the import procedure and all the documentation used when importing goods from abroad. The import procedure is presented on the example of the enterprise Micro I.C. Ltd, an industrial company which produces industrial electronic process controllers used primarily in the oil and gas industry. The main component of the final product is a micro controller; a type of chip which usage depends exclusively on the software created by the software engineer. The main reason why Micro I.C. does the import job is because the micro controllers mentioned are not available to purchase in the local market so the company has to import the goods. The final paper is comprised of five parts. The first part is the introduction in which the student introduces the subject of the paper. In the second part, entitled basic features of import, the concept of import, the reasons for importing and the types of import are explained. The third part, entitled Micro I.C. Ltd. enterprise, contains the basic informations about the company, explains the main business, presents the products manufactured by the company and presents which services the company provides. The fourth part, the import procedure is explained in detail. In the fifth part, the student concludes the subject of the paper. |
