Communication whether verbal where the information is transmitted through the spoken words or non verbal that is performed with some other means of communication without using verbal elements, is one of the most important and used skills in Park Plaza Belvedere and in the hospitality and tourism branch in general. Thus, in this master thesis, both are covered. Implementation of verbal and non verbal communication in Park Plaza Belvedere has been analyzed in regards to internal communication and communication with guests. The importance of oral and written communication is emphasized. Commonly used non verbal behavior is presented and later on elaborated on practical examples in Park Plaza Belvedere because while observing non verbal behavior, feet, legs, arms, hand, torso, and face expressions can reveal a person thoughts, feeling and intentions. Obstacle and problems can appear when this behavior is not recognized. Therefore, the front desk employees that are of the crucial importance for the hotel because they serve as a link between the organization and its customer and they are the first ones to create a contact, and later on to develop and implement efficient and effective communication, have to know all company policies, rules and procedures of work and communication process. They should have knowledge about verbal and non verbal communication, accompanied with all information that management should provide them. Communication with guests and client that is effective can be the crucial business strategy and the key to success in tourism sector. Working in a certain successful way can ensure PPB’s customer to come back while positive feedback and reviews will attract the new potential guest that will influence on business growth, development and success.
