This thesis will provide and insight into what is institutional support to entrepreneurship, what are regional development agencies and specifically analysis of Regional Development Agency Porin Rijeka. It will provide a deeper insight into the workings of an institutional support company, how it operates, which services it offers, short analysis of the projects and lastly the analysis of the company itself in comparison to the market. Since RDA Porin was the first company to offer institutional entrepreneurship support to counties and regions in the 90s it has come a long way and it can be said that it’s the most experienced company in this region. Numerous entrepreneurs use their services every year and RDA Porin encompass all systems of support from incubators to advice to education and projects. Currently there are two business incubators in use, but a third business incubator is in planning which will boost their service providing quality with high-end gear and equipment offered. It does not only offer support to new entrepreneurs but also to counties and different regions, the company is also established as an international partner often working alongside other EU member countries and their respective regional agencies. Some current projects listed will also show how much of EU funding the company has been able to get for various causes. Although project goals differ from one another, the knowledge and experience they can offer a client is wide and varied enough to take on almost any project no matter the goal or subject. Being the most experienced and with the highly trained and qualified staff, competition is not an issue at this moment. Although, if it does not start investing into marketing and presenting the company as such, it might have to start competing by price and losing clients to the cheaper agencies which cannot deliver the same quality. The quality insured with RDA Porin is yet to be matched. With future plans for the new business incubator hall and investing in the new 3D printing technology it will surely distinguish itself form the competition. If that remains the case in the future and RDA Porin continues to operate as it has it should remain dominant and relevant in the market.
