Sažetak
In the modern world, the structure of work in organizations begins to change with the development of technology. The COVID-19 pandemic, which has accelerated, has already started the process of digitization and application of remote work. Many companies that did not practice such a way of working had to make major changes and adjustments to their operations in order to survive on the market. It is certainly rational to say that working remotely has potential advantages but also disadvantages for both employees and employers. This thesis will explain the key terms that are crucial for the topic in question. Remote work will be analyzed as one of the newer forms of work on the market that many organizations had to get used to. Focus of this paper is on the problem of control as the main problem in the employers’ tendency for remote work, given that remote work makes the control of employees more difficult or more complex and thus carry possible higher costs. In this way, the theoretical knowledge about remote work, its advantages and disadvantages were connected with the results of the conducted research, in order to conclude weather remote work is a form of work that employers try to avoid or something that they strive for.
