Many certificates have been developed to be awarded to hotels as evidence and awards for the application and efficiency of green practice in hotel business. Thus, hotels that run green activities are more attractive and more recognizable on the market, and stand out from the mass of ordinary hotels with their differentiated offer that gives their guests an authentic stay. A large number of hotel owners refuse such a way of doing business with customizing eco-certification, and are aware of opportunities to open a green business, but one of the biggest problems is investing time and money in change. As competition is becoming more and more and more challenging, it is important to provide quality and reliable services in accordance with eco-regulations. There are a number of ways to apply green business such as energy efficiency, green roofs, water and energy consumption, green transport, sustainable activities, local and organic food supply, the use of environmental cleaners, etc. With the greening of the offer in Split-Dalmatina county, it can become a brand. Through the research, the result was that hotels in the area of Split-dalmatian county mostly do not apply the green mode of business and have no eco-certificates that would contribute to their image and market positioning. They are aware of the benefits that carry the aforementioned mode of business with them, but investment and effort to relaunch are not planned in the next year.
