Mobile banking applications have become the dominant way of doing banking and they are at the forefront of providing banking services due to numerous advantages such as the availability of the service at any time and from any place. Although mobile banking is considered one of the services with the highest added value, it can present certain vulnerabilities in the area of information privacy. The move toward increased use of mobile apps for financial services leads to greater opportunities for fraud and increased consumer privacy concerns. The use of mobile banking requires the user's personal information, which includes sensitive financial information. This thesis puts mobile banking in the context of privacy concerns. Privacy concerns are an area of research that is receiving increasing attention due to the large amounts of personal data being collected, stored, and transferred to databases. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to present the current knowledge about privacy concerns and mobile banking in the scientific and professional literature and to examine how worried mobile banking users are about the amount of data that mobile banking has, unauthorized use of mobile banking, protection against errors during transactions, availability of information to unauthorized persons and other variables of privacy concerns in the context of mobile banking. In order to achieve that goal, a descriptive survey was conducted using a questionnaire on a sample of 163 respondents. Research has shown that mobile banking users are generally not concerned about privacy. The collected and analyzed data showed that mobile banking users are most concerned when they do not have control over their private information. They consider mobile banking a reliable and risk-free application, but they want to have control and independence over the information that mobile banking collects, processes, uses and shares.
