This thesis examines the effects of the introduction of the ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) on the purchasing department in Rimac Technology d.o.o. As complete and integrated IT solutions, ERP systems can optimize and automate a wide range of business processes. Based on a specific case study of the company Rimac Technology d.o.o., a highly recognized player in the automotive industry, this thesis examines the effect of the implementation of the Infor LN ERP system. The thesis is focused to the greatest extent on the purchasing department, a key operational area responsible for the procurement of resources and materials necessary for the production and sustainability of the company. The paper examines in detail what are the advantages and disadvantages of ERP in general and what are the criteria for choosing the optimal ERP system for a particular company, as well as what types exist. Also, this paper shows how the implementation of the ERP system affected the functioning of the procurement department, as well as other departments within Rimac Technology d.o.o. The above includes an analysis of how the system improved the procurement life cycle, including ordering processes, inventory monitoring and communication with suppliers. It also examines operational efficiency, cost reduction as well as the existence of increased productivity of daily tasks. This thesis is based on a comprehensive assessment of user feedback in order to assess the effectiveness and resonance of the implemented ERP system within the unique contextual framework of Rimac Technology d.o.o. The goal is to provide insights that can facilitate decision-making, streamline operations, and potentially serve as a model for others in the automotive industry considering similar transformations.
