Business analysis is a process of research and understanding of business activities with the aim of identifying potential challenges, opportunities and solutions, and its application is essential so that companies can timely detect threats and opportunities in the external and internal environment of the company. Its implementation in companies can be quite complex. Tourism in Croatia is still a relatively young and turbulent branch of the economy that is yet to reach its peak of development, and the Croatian tourist offer is becoming more and more attractive throughout Europe and the world from year to year. In the momentum of the development of the tourist industry, a large number of smaller companies were founded in just a few years, whose activity is the provision of accommodation. It will present an overview of the Croatian hotel industry, through which it will try to present its characteristics and specifics. Through the PESTLE analysis, the external environment of tourist companies will be presented, which largely determines their way of doing business. The aim of the thesis is to use data from basic financial reports to conduct a comparative financial analysis of three selected companies from the accommodation industry. Before the practical part of the work, the theoretical part, which is necessary for understanding the results of the analysis, will be presented. In the theoretical part, the concept of financial statements, general financial indicators and indicators specific to hotel operations will be presented. After the introductory, theoretical part of the financial analysis, it will be applied to specific companies through horizontal and vertical analysis of balance sheets and profit and loss accounts, calculation of general financial indicators and indicators specific to the hotel industry, and their interpretation and comparison for a period of three years.
