In this master thesis is described and conducted research on the analysis of employability of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs on the city area of Novska. The thesis describes the essential concepts, related to the topic, presents measures for small and medium-sized enterprises, and researches related to the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises. Through secondary research of internal and external documents, books and professional articles, it can be concluded that small and medium-sized enterprises are the drivers and sustainers of the economic growth and development of the City of Novska. This rural area with its surrounding settlements should continue to foster the growth and development of SMEs through Incentive Programs. A small town in western Slavonia, within the County of Sisak-Moslavina, is rich in natural resources and untouched nature, which makes it suitable for the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses. In addition to investing in entrepreneurs, the City of Novska has become known for its gaming industry and high investment in it. Also, at the heart of the gaming industry - the PISMO entrepreneurial incubator - are developing new entrepreneurs who also receive high incentives for self-employment after starting their own business. It should be pointed out that mostly small enterprises operating in the processing industry and retail are active in the Novska area. The most famous and successful company, which holds high first place by all parameters of success, is the medium-sized enterprise MMM-Vukelić d.o.o. operating in the manufacturing sector. Every small or medium-sized enterprise is very important for the City because it employs a large number of inhabitants, cultivates agricultural and forest areas, participates in various humanitarian activities and sports events and thus presents Novska as a successful, liveable environment.
