A satellite is an artificial object that is intentionally placed in the orbit of a planet. Satellites are usually semi-independent computer controlled systems with many subsystems involved in tasks such as power generation, heat control, position control, and more. A beacon is a satellite signal that indicates its presence in the world and is often used for telemetry data related to the health of the spacecraft. Encouraged by FERSAT, a satellite that the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing plans to send into space in the coming years, the aim of the paper was to select a satellite, receive and process its signal and telemetry data, store the data and create a computer application to display the data. First, the satellites that were tracked and whose telemetry was attempted to be received were singled out. A list of satellites was made according to certain criteria and the satellites were monitored for several months. Then, a data reception subsystem was assembled. It consists of various interconnected software tools and solutions for receiving, processing, demodulating, decoding and formatting the signal, and writes the received data to a log file. A data model and an associated relational database for storing received data were also developed. A parser was created to process and store data. It reads the log file and stores its contents in the database. The data is finally displayed in the developed web application, as a tabular printout of the fields of each received message, which the user can access. For demonstration purposes in the web app, examples of BugSat and Fox-1 satellite telemetry data were selected, as well as real-time APRS data from Maya-3 and Maya-4 satellites.
