In this work, the author has stated previous researches of early Christian churches and basilicas with baptistery in Povlja, Postira, Lovrečina and Pučišća on the island of Brač. All the researches have been elaborated and published in scientific papers. It is assumed that these sacred buildings are most probably from the 6th century. Basilica with the baptistery in Povlja was the most explored, and the research was carried out in the 60s of the 20th century. The baptistery was a square ground planter, and had an octogonal interior with a font in the form of a Greek cross in the center. Since early Christian baptistry has been transformed into a sanctuary of later medieval and present parish churches, it is an example of the best preserved early Christian baptistery in Croatia. The early Christian basilica in Postira was discovered in 1988. The baptistery as in the Povlja was located on the north side, a square shape from the outside and octogonal from the inside, with a cross-shaped font in the form of a Greek cross in the center. The early Christian church in Lovrečina was explored in the 60s and 80s of the 20th century. The baptistery was located on the north side of the nave, a simple rectangular shape with a cross-shaped font in the middle of the room. During the research, remains of the ciborium were found, which was later reconstructed. The church in Pučišća has been changing its shape over time, and today the original early Christian apse is preserved at the height of the roof. Researches that were carried out in the 90s of the last century revealed that there was a larger early Christian church with a square shaped baptistery on the south side, and a cross - shaped font with equal arms.
