The paper is a research of intergenerational education, more precisely, it is a study of whether parents raise their children in the manner they were once raised themselves and whether values acquired in ones childhood are then passed on to one’s children. The instrument that was implemented is the Likert scale. This was chosen because it aided parents in rating how much they agree or disagree with the claims in the survey that was given to them. The collected results showed the validity of the two proposed hypotheses. The aim of this paper was to affirm whether education is being transmitted in an intergenerational manner, more precisely, whether parents use the same manner of education and upbringing of their children and whether they transmit the values they acquired in childhood to their children in the same manner as their own parents implemented when raising them. It can be assumed that the way one was raised very much affects our style of parenting. Moreover, it can be assumed that one will the forward values, which we acquired from ones parents, to one’s own children. It is important to emphasize that most parents agree with the claim that they want their child to have their own beliefs and attitudes which in itself important because children are not meant to be a copy of their parents. It is through the process of education and socialization that the children of today should strive to become independent and responsible persons.
