The aim of this paper was to show the impact of dance notation, Laban's kinetography, on preschool children. In order to do this, it was necessary to first determine what is dance, to briefly show the history of dance, and to show the systematization of dance. We have presented eight basic themes of art of movement that represent the basis of quality knowledge of dance from both theoretical and practical side. Afterwards, it was necessary to show to which population term preschool children refers to. We also presented developmental characteristics of preschool children and examples of how to organize dance activities for children. When we connected the two areas - dance and pre-school children - we unexpectedly got far from our goal. As the dance notation is an accurate record of the movements that the dancer should perform when dancing, there should be no deviation from it. On the other hand, we have found a lot of literature that believes that preschool children should not learn specific choreographies,dance should be a creative activity for them. When all things considered, we advocate that a dance notation can have a place in the pedagogical practice if it is used as a springboard in designing dance activities for children. Dance notation is an abstract record for children that they can interpret in accordance with their children's imagination. Considering all this we finished paper with practical part and made an example of a kinetographic record of the dance.
