Healthy living habits are acquired early, in childhood and early adolescence, and today their importance is increasingly emphasized. Students' life, for that matter, is a critical period for young people, who sometimes neglect to devote themselves to a healthy life due to the pressure of college obligations. For this reason, the subject of the paper was to examine the experiences and perceptions of the healthy life of students at the University of Split. The study was conducted using a semi-structured interview, which in June and July 2019. collected data on the experiences and perceptions of healthy living of 20 physically active students in Split. In addition, we examined their opinions on the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle, being informed about healthy lifestyle habits, the impact of media and social networks on aspects of healthy living, etc. Data were interpreted during August 2019. Interpretation of the data collected show that, in addition to being physically active on a regular basis, the majority of respondents also look after their diet. These two segments are also emphasized by all respondents in their definition of healthy living, as well as striving to maintain healthy lifestyle habits. Physical activity has a positive effect on them, relaxes them and helps them cope with stress. Almost all interviewees are happy with their awareness of healthy living habits. Half of them think that faculty and educational institutions should encourage healthy living among students, and just as many want to change something with them in the form of improving a healthier lifestyle. Most do not follow any media content specifically related to healthy living and agree that the media, positively or negatively, certainly influence the adoption of healthy habits among young people.
