With the appearance of the COVID-19 virus at the end of 2019, the whole world turned 180°. Our lives, normally very fast-paced and dynamic, have become passive. The rapid spread of a previously unknown and unpredictable virus took its toll in all aspects of an individual's life; starting from health ones to social and psychological ones. In the vortex of confusion and helplessness, the greatest share of attention was given to the detection and prevention of health problems, while the consequences on the remaining areas of a person's life were neglected. In addition to relationships with others, the target of changes caused by the newly created situation were also the relationships we have with ourselves. Bearing in mind the above, this final paper dealt with changes in the context of attitudes towards the body and physical appearance. The research was conducted using an online questionnaire on a sample of 386 young men and women from Split aged 20 to 34. The data was collected from the end of May to the beginning of July 2022. An online questionnaire in the form of Google forms was posted on several social networks. Concepts of physical appearance and the pandemic are included in the research. The goal was to examine the perceptions of young people in Split about physical appearance during the pandemic. The statistical analysis of the data showed that the majority of participants are somewhat satisfied with their appearance and consider that they do not have an ideal physical appearance. A statistically significant difference between men and women in satisfaction with physical appearance was shown. Pandemic measures affected the everyday life of young men and women from Split, and their physical appearance during the pandemic was just as important as before. In the context of maintaining their physical appearance, the participants reduced visits to hairdressing and beauty salons. After all, it has not been proven that women paid more attention to physical appearance than men during the pandemic.
