Information and communication technology (ICT) is a dynamic field in education that is constantly evolving and plays a key role in facilitating and accelerating access to information and knowledge. Moodle is free, open-source software for designing and delivering course content. The aim of this work is to improve the understanding and application of analytical learning in the teaching of Informatics in the second grade of primary school and to encourage further research in the field of analytical learning. This work investigated how and to what extent second-grade students will self-initiatively learn in the Moodle e-learning system. Also, it was investigated how much students like working in Moodle. In the e-college of Informatics for the second grade of elementary school, students are offered four teaching topics and various associated learning objects. The first part of the paper describes the e-learning model Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) and its phases. In the Informatics e-college for the second grade of elementary school, students had access to various learning objects, including lessons, assignments, dictionaries, tests, chat, forums, and games. The second part of the paper refers to the learning analytics in the Moodle system of second grade elementary school students and their impressions of the learning process within that system. The results of the research indicate that students quickly accept the use of the Moodle system and that they show a positive attitude towards it. However, it was noted that more effort and time is needed to achieve consistency in the use of the system and to make continuous progress in the learning process.
