Art, with its various forms and boundless expressive potential in all its aspects, significantly contributes to philosophical thinking and plays a significant role in deepening critical thinking in children. Children are influenced by artistic works in many ways and are often inspired by them as stimuli. Philosophy with children has undergone various transformations in its development, influenced by teachers and philosophers with different views on children's ability to engage in such thinking and the ways in which this thinking should take place. This paper explores the history of philosophy with children and how it evolved into an established practice in children's education. Furthermore, this paper discusses art as a stimulus for developing thinking and critically processing content. It provides examples of simple materials that stimulate not-so-simple ideas and dialogues that children can engage in to develop their thoughts and think differently about the world around them. In conclusion, this paper highlights how art inherently enhances philosophical thinking and our perspective on the world. Therefore, it serves as an insight into what is continually happening around us, often unnoticed, and as an encouragement to incorporate art into our own practices and approaches to working with children.
