New generations, diverse pedagogical knowledge, and technological progress are all reasons for implementing an educational reform that meets the needs of the modern student. The paper describes the ideas and teaching methods before and today, namely the differences between the ideas of old and new schools. Related to that, the concept of curriculum is explained, in general and on the example of computer science, along with its development and importance in educating students. The concept of e-learning is further clarified, and the changes made by the e-Schools project to the primary and secondary education systems are mentioned. In addition, the paper talks about the lesson planning process, especially about preparing lesson plans for computer science, and defines the characteristics of good teaching and the impact of quality teaching on student achievement. Different teaching scenarios created within the e-Schools project help teachers in preparing lessons. So far, teaching scenarios for computer science classes have been created for the fifth and sixth grades of elementary school and for the first grade of high school. The paper presents an analysis of the survey conducted among teachers on using teaching scenarios in planning and course delivery of computer science classes.
