Additive manufacturing has characteristics that are needed for industrial use. These are speed, low cost, simplicity, and availability. The use of additive manufacturing can reduce the time required to make casts and models. Additive manufacturing has applications in chemical reaction engineering where it can be used for the fabrication of chemical reactors and also for the fabrication of static mixers. In this work, the thesis of the possibility of printing the static mixer for a tubular reactor with given dimensions and coated with the catalytically active film was confirmed. The model of the static mixer was designed in the software Fusion 360, processed in the software PreForm slicer and 3D printed by the method of stereolithography on the 3D printer Form 2. The static mixer designed for tubular reactors was printed using Clear V2 material with 0.1 mm layer thickness. The following ingredients were used to prepare the cocktail used to coat the static mixer: Ethanol, tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), trimethoxyphenylsilane (FTMS), TiO2, and hydrochloric acid. Ethanol is used for a solution, TEOS and FTMS are precursors of the sol-gel process, TiO2 imparts photocatalytic properties to the film, and hydrochloric acid is the catalyst of the sol-gel process. The static mixer was coated using the drop coating method. After coating and drying, the film properties were investigated by digital microscope and FTIR-ATR analysis. The surface of the static mixer was successfully coated with the catalytically active film. The film surface shows cracking, and FTIR-ATR analysis reveals the presence of Ti-O-Ti and Ti-O bonds.
