Additive manufacturing is a process of creating three-dimensional objects by adding material layer by layer. Nature of the model is determined in computer-aided design program (CAD), and is popularly called 3-D printing technology. From several different additive manufacturing methods, the most known is fused filament fabrication, FFF. With this method, thermoplastic material is led into extruder, fused and deposited layer by layer into wanted shape which is determined by previously made model in CAD program. Scope of this study focuses on the influence of manufacturing parameters on mechanical properties of material. Used materials are acrylonitrile/ butadiene /styrene (ABS) and cyclic olefin copolymer (COC). Mechanical properties that are examined are strength and toughness of materials as well as influence of higher temperature and solvent (acetone). The results have shown that in case of ABS, the specimen printed at 0°, having set print speed ( SM 0 % ), nozzle temperature 275 °C ( Δt = 0 °C ) and layer thickness of 0.14 mm has the highest work to break value, and with that the highest toughness. With COC, the highest value of stress and work to break, apropos the highest strength and toughness is achieved with specimen printed at 0°, SM 25 % and the nozzle temperature of 260 °C ( Δt = -15 °C ). The overall results of this work show that not all parameters have the same effect on the change of mechanical properties, and that solvent vapors have the greatest influence on mechanical properties of material.
