Aim: There is a manuscript research presentation of relevant handwritings given in this research. The main focus of the research was to determine the age at which the copy book handwriting is abandoned due to creation of individual handwriting, Methods: The sample of respondents consisted of students from the fourth to the eighth grade of the primary school in Vinica. Only students who had notebooks from previous generations participated because of the necessary analysis. The total sample in the study was seventeen. Of which six male students and eleven female students. The research used independent variables: gender and age and dependent variables: letter height; total number of special features; general appearance features, relationship to line, connection of graphemes, writing punctuation; large initial handwritten letter; capital initial formal letter, total number of legible texts; grapheme a; grapheme e; grapheme o; grapheme r; grapheme t; grapheme ć; grapheme š; number two; number seven; number eight; number nine; grapheme M, grapheme G. Results: Results of the research showed that some specific characteristics were formed in two cases. The first case of specific characteristics is formed at the beginning of learning the graphemes, and those characteristics are hold on to until the later age to a greater or lesser extent. The second case is when a pupil gets to higher grades, where each subject is taught by a different teacher. The most significant change was shown in the 6th grade, when the influence of classroom teaching (first four grades) fades. Conclusion: It is necessary to conduct a more extensive and longitudinal study on a representative sample. The lack of research is the subjective relationship with special features and the small number of samples.
