A traffic accident is defined as an event on the road, and by analyzing possible patterns of traffic accidents, road traffic is observed through three basic subsystems: man, vehicle and road. Each subsystem affects traffic safety. Technical road defects are often the cause of traffic accidents and may arise during design and/or construction. Traffic safety on existing roads is increased by investing in improving traffic-technological elements of the locations with the largest number of traffic accidents and/or shares with the highest potential for reducing accidents. Encouraging drivers to comply with traffic regulations, especially in speed limitation locations, is possible by informing the driver about locations with a critical number of traffic accidents. For the EU Member States, it is mandatory to provide evidence of any deaths occurring on the roads of the trans-European network within the country where a traffic accident occurred and its mandatory to perform road inspection. By conducting a roadworthiness analysis, it is possible to discover various disadvantages of roads that may have affected or will affect the occurrence of a traffic accident. Dangerous place in road traffic represents a place on the road or part of a road where there is a high number of traffic accidents. Collecting data on traffic accidents is a significant process for identifying hazardous sites.
