Only Fools and Horses and You Rang M'Lord? are British sitcoms. Created by writer John Sullivan, Only Fools and Horses originally broadcast in the United Kingdom in year 1981. In 2003 was the last from Sixty-four episodes of Only Fools and Horses broadcast. You Rang M'Lord? Was written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, 26 episodes were aired from 1988 to 1993. The specificity of both series are class characteristics which are expressed through the characterization of the characters and their living and working space. Because of that I chose these two sitcoms, so I could present the construction of class differences through numerous situations in which high and manual working class characters are located. Therefore, social stratification and class as a form of social stratification are chosen, as a basic framework for the theoretical part. The research part of the work is focused on narrative analysis, which is based on a sample of three seasons of Only Fools and Horses and two seasons of You Rang M'Lord? Sitcoms. Of these, first episodes of the first three seasons of Only Fools and Horses and first episodes of the first two seasons of You Rang M'Lord? are analyzed in detail. Narrative analysis proved to be the most appropriate, since narrative represents a series of situations which are explicitly and implicitly presented to us and based on which we have to draw conclusions. The aim of the research was to comprehend if there are clearly expressed class identities ih these sitcoms, with which characteristics are the members of the manual workers' class and with which thoes of the high class characterized, which jobs are typical of the manual working class and which of the high class, which social characteristics characterize them and whether there are some individual characters that are discriminated on the basis of class attributes.
