The thesis " Planned Tourism Management in Velika Gorica" aims to acquaint the reader with the progress of tourism in the City of Velika Gorica and to show possible directions for further development. The thesis has the role of removing the barrier in the perception of tourists that there is no quality tourist offer in Velika Gorica. The thesis aims to encourage residents of Velika Gorica to think about the possibilities that are not only in the city of Velika Gorica but in the entire surrounding region of Turopolje. The problem with tourism in Velika Gorica is insufficient tourist valorization of resources and too little investment in the image of the destination. The problem arises from the lack of interest in tourism and residents passive behavior in development of the tourism. Through the thesis, the goals are determined, the strategy for the future of tourism is defined through intergration. The contribution of the research of this thesis is the evaluation of the tourist offer and demand of the Turopolje area, which includes the city of Velika Gorica and surrounding settlements, combined with the presentation of the importance of tourism in the city's economy. The research has proven the continuity of the evolution of tourism and the great will of the Tourist Board for further progress. The thesis presents problems that slow down the development of the destination and the possibility of overcoming them. A development strategy is presented, which includes the possible development of specialised tourism and focusing on the development of excursion tourism that would attract visitors from Zagreb and Zagreb County.
