In the narrower sense, logistics is defined as a system for organising the supply chain from the supply of raw materials and propagating material, the intermediate product to the distribution of the final product and its sale, while in the wider sense logistics represents all activities that enable all processes necessary for the creation of a particular product or service to be linked from the sender to the recipient, with the maximisation of the recipient's requirements, while optimizing the costs of materials and other resources necessary for production. The basic task of logistics is to provide customers with the best possible service for an acceptable price while the logistics principles are regarded as a quality product, at the right time, in the right place and at the lowest costs. Logistics applied to the area of tourist destination enables optimal organization of all flows in the destination. Since logistics is present in all elements and functions of destination management, it can be concluded that the efficiency of destination management will be greater the greater the presence of logistics and logistical management in the tourist destination. This paper describes the logistical flows of tourists with an overview of the city of Zagreb. In addition to implementing measures to establish sustainable development and improve public urban transport, Zagreb has the opportunity to reduce the use of passenger cars and provide better quality of service and life in the city.
