The spine is a fundamental part of the human skeleton responsible for moving, supporting the head and upper torso and stabilizing the pelvis. Spinal deformities include: scoliosis, kyphosis and lordosis. Scoliosis is defined as a three-dimensional deformity of the spine. It is actually a lateral curvature of the spine in the frontal plane, with rotation of the spine and thorax in the transverse plane and with the presence of deformation in the sagittal profile. According to the Scoliosis Research Society, we define scoliosis if the Cobb angle is greater than 10 °. If the Cobb angle is greater than 20 ° and less than 40 °, conservative orthosis treatment is indicated in combination with a special physiotherapy exercise program for scoliosis. There are many different methods of conservative treatment, but among the best known are the seven main SOSORT schools, each with its own approach to the PSSE. Among them is the Schroth method from Germany. It uses specific exercises based on the patient's unique pattern of curvature of the spine and seeks to return it to a more natural position. The goal of the method is to create balance and stability of the spine by improving body mechanics and stabilizing the spine to prevent further progression of the curve. There are many studies aimed at determining the effectiveness of this method as a type of conservative treatment. Likewise, the aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Schroth method in the treatment of scoliosis and its effect on Cobb angle and curvature progression. A review of research from several databases found that this method has a positive effect on patients with scoliosis, as well as on Cobb's angle and curvature progression, but further and more precise research on this topic is needed to generalize the results.
