Introduction: Vaccination is an effective approach to preventing infection and reducing mortality from many known infectious diseases. In order to prevent complications and the rapid spread of the COVID-19 disease, scientists have launched a large number of research in an effort to suppress the infection. It is believed that with the availability of a safe and effective vaccine against the COVID-19 infection, a large vaccination rate will be achieved on a global level, and this progress in the control of the pandemic. Key barriers to vaccination include lack of knowledge and confidence, and concerns about vaccine efficacy and safety. Methods: The research was conducted in the months of May and June 2022 through an online questionnaire. The first part of the questionnaire covers socio-demographic questions, while the second part covers students' perception of the vaccine against COVID-19 and consists of 17 questions. Results: 75 % of students, 88.89 % of nursing students and 56.25 % of physiotherapy students were vaccinated against COVID-19. 43.9% of students cite fear of side effects as the reason they refuse to be vaccinated. The strongest motive to get vaccinated, 48.6 % of students state that it is "the only way to stop the pandemic". Most nursing students, 61.9 % of them, would choose the Pfizer vaccine, while most physiotherapy students do not care which vaccine they will receive. The largest number of students, 35.1 % of them, are informed about the COVID19 pandemic from the media, scientific articles and from health professionals. Most students expressed a low level of trust in the vaccine. Conclusion: Avoidance of vaccination against COVID-19 among health students has potentially negative consequences for themselves and may affect vaccine acceptance among the general population. Trust in the health care system, including vaccine safety and efficacy, is a significant factor in the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine among both students and the general population. To achieve the greatest possible vaccination among students, it is necessary to devise evidence-based strategies that would promote the acceptance of vaccination.
