The aim of this paper is to determine whether there is an interaction between occupational stress and job satisfaction of a physiotherapist. Generally speaking, all health problems affect job satisfaction and at the same time the readiness to continue working and stay in the profession. In addition to occupational diseases, physical stress and psychosocial stress affect job satisfaction as physiotherapists. The study was conducted on 82 physiotherapists of which 69 women and 13 men, with work experience of more than 10 years. Most of the respondents were between the ages of 50-59, as many as 37.8% were physiotherapists. The largest number of respondents had higher education, as many as 58.5%. The results showed that physiotherapists who are under higher stress in general and at higher risk of burnout at work have a lower level of work ability. Job satisfaction is negatively correlated with burnout at work, while stress and burnout are positively strongly correlated with each other, and we can say that these two factors are often present together. The results of the study did not show significant gender differences in the variables of job satisfaction, burnout, and stress. However, physiotherapists differ significantly by gender in the work ability index. Male physiotherapists are 73.8% more likely to have a higher level of work ability than female physiotherapists.
