Structural analysis and design of a precast concrete multi-storey frame structure taking into account the construction in stages is presented in this final year project. The residential building, consisting of ground plus 5 floors, is located in Rijeka and has a ground floor layout of 22,0 m * 22,0 m. The selected frame system consists of multi-storey prefabricated columns that have an opening at the floor level and semi-prefabricated beams which are placed on short corbels on the columns. The longitudinal reinforcement of the semi-prefabricated beams is led through the opening in the column, and the opening is finally filled with in-situ concrete. In this way moment-resisting beam-column connections are achieved (equivalent to a monolithic connection). Structural analysis and design of the frame members (beams and columns) to seismic action was conducted taking into account the capacity design rules and local ductility criteria. The floor structure is made as a composite reinforced-concrete slab consisting of prefabricated plank slabs (Omnia) and in-situ concrete topping. Structural analysis and design of load bearing members has been made according to HRN EN 1990, HRN EN 1991, HRN EN 1992 and HRN EN 1998, with accompanying National Annexes. Reinforcement plans have been made for the composite plank floor (Omnia), beams and columns of the multi-storey frame.
