This thesis contains methods of seismic analisys where equivalent lateral force method which is linear static method is applied on the masive concrete building in Rijeka. Rules for aplication of equivalent lateral force method are mentioned and proved before the very same aplication of this method. Calculation of shear seismic forces followed. First, values of basic vibration period for construction in two orthogonal directions for the first tone of vibrations were found in software program Tower 6. Then this program gave us values of periods when construction was uncracked in both directions, and second when stiffnes of construction was reduced by 50% also in both directions. In the end we had four periods of vibrations. This periods served for calculating four shear forces with equivalent lateral force method. Two forces for seismic action in direction „x“ for cracked and uncracked elements, and two forces for seismic actions in direction „y“ also for cracked and uncracked elements. These results were compared and entered on model of construction in program Tower 6. Then program calculated internal forces in construction for seismic loads combined with other loads in seismic load combination. Results showed very small difference between seismic shear forces obtained on cracked and uncracked model which led to conclusion that construction is too stiff. Wind and snow loads were also entered in program Tower 6 included in permanent load combination. Internal forces obtained by this combination were compared with those obtained by seismic. For applicable load combinatin, design of main supporting elements-one wall, one collumn and two beams followed. With design of every supporting element mentioned before, there are special rules for steel reinforcement of concrete in seismic areas from EUROCODE 8. In the end, absolute building displacements were checked for seismic load combination on cracked model (with reduction of stiffness by 50%).
